Hiring in Scottsdale · Phoenix Metro · Airport & industrial travel

Build a career
where the work matters.

Eighteen years. Thirteen trades under one roof. Commercial, industrial, and airport clients across Arizona. We hire people who like solving physical problems with their hands and their heads — and we invest in them from apprentice to lead.

Why work here

More than a paycheck. A trade you can grow into.

01

Apprentice → lead, on our ladder

We don't just hire — we build technicians. Every hire runs our internal certification pathway through advancedgprtraining.com, the same training platform other GPR firms across the country license from us. You move up because you know the science, not because you waited.

02

Learn 13 trades, not just one

Concrete cutting, coring, wall saw, GPR scanning, utility locating, hydrovac, trenching, firestopping, pourback, excavation, pipe camera, deck inspection, and geophysical work. Cross-train across all of it. Recession-proof your skills.

03

Battery-electric fleet. Cleaner jobsites.

Our mini excavator and skid loader run on batteries — no diesel exhaust, no propane, no air scrubbers, no fumes. Which means you work inside hospitals, occupied buildings, and airports where diesel crews can't go. Better air, better hours, better sites.

04

Real backlog. No feast or famine.

Eighteen years serving commercial, industrial, and airport clients across Arizona. We're not a sub chasing single scopes — we run 13 trades on the same jobs, so the schedule stays full year-round. You're not sitting home waiting for the phone to ring.

Why our people stay

Tired of the big-company grind?

If you're a concrete cutter or GPR technician coming from a national outfit, you already know the tradeoffs. The fleet is fine and the projects are big, but the people function like part numbers. Advanced GPR is family-owned since 2008. Kevin Pine still walks jobsites. Thirteen trades in-house means no subcontractor handoffs — you own the whole job from locate to pourback. Paid travel miles, rental car points, and hotel rewards stay with you, not the company card.

Family-owned since 2008

You'll know the owner by name and see him on jobs.

13 trades in-house

GPR, coring, cutting, excavation, firestop, pourback — no subcontractor handoffs.

You keep the miles

Airline miles, rental car points, hotel loyalty — yours to keep.

Modern equipment

Hilti, Husqvarna, Merit fleet — updated regularly and well maintained.

01

02

FAQ

Answers we get asked most.

Do I need GPR or concrete cutting experience to apply?

Not for entry-level field roles. If you've done trades work — concrete, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, roofing, or general construction — and you're mechanically curious, we'll train you on the equipment and the science. Senior and specialty roles do require prior experience.

Do you provide tools, a vehicle, and training?

Yes. Company vehicle, company iPhone, all tools and PPE, and paid OSHA + operator + manufacturer training (Hilti, STI, GSSI). You do not buy your own equipment to work here.

What are the hiring requirements?

We look at skills, experience, and safety training first. Because we work on active airports, hospitals, secured industrial sites, and government facilities, every offer is contingent on customary post-offer screening — background review, drug screening, and driving-record verification — conducted after a conditional offer of employment, consistent with applicable law.

Where are the jobs located?

HQ and yard are in Scottsdale, Arizona (6846 E Vernon Ave). Most work is across the Phoenix metro — Scottsdale, Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Gilbert, Glendale, Peoria, Phoenix. Occasional multi-site travel with paid travel, rental car rewards, and airline miles that you keep.

How do I apply?

All applications go through our Zoho Recruit portal — advancedgpr.zohorecruit.com/jobs/Careers. Upload your resume — we review every submission. You can also email info@advancedgpr.com or call 602.875.0909.

What is advancedgprtraining.com?

It's the technician training platform we built — used by GPR firms across the country to certify their crews. It's an industry credibility signal, not a prerequisite to apply. Once you're hired, you get access to the same courses our staff uses.

Is there overtime? What's the schedule?

Standard schedule is Monday–Friday, 6:30 AM start. Overtime is available and often — commercial and airport work runs on tight windows, and we pay time-and-a-half. Occasional weekend work when clients need us.

Don't see the role you want listed?

Send us a note anyway. We hire on fit as much as fit-on-paper. Apply on Zoho, or email info@advancedgpr.com.

Ready?

Apply once. We'll figure out the right seat.

Upload your resume through Zoho Recruit and we'll match you to the right role — field, office, or specialty. Real people, fast replies, no black-hole applications.
